Fibre: Safekeeping Journals

Continuing the obsession with burlap, I highlight the line as a way of extending drawing into a 3D form. These fibre lines wrap objects: journals and diaries that preserve memories with the desire to safeguard, bind, and move beyond the past while leaving the abjected residue as a memorial.

Safekeeping (Journals 1989-2016) highlights and frames one page from each Journal to give a glimpse of what was left inside evoking collective memories and the collecting of memories.
